HUP

The sportiest hotel in the Netherlands has a very Dutch name: ‘Hup’, because that’s what you scream when you want to encourage someone enthusiastically or get them moving. And you can get moving at HUP! From trampolining to swimming, fitness, squash and bowling. Young and old can play sports and experience all kinds of things here.

Families, sports teams and business partners can stay the night, have meetings, perform sports, relax and enjoy delicious food and drinks at HUP. There is a cinema, a shop with trendy sports items and a unique museum with a special collection of collector’s items from the world of top football. For the little ones up to 11 years old, there is Monkey Town, an indoor play paradise. And in the lobby, you can already let yourself go on the giant slide….. Let your inner child loose!

Good cooperation

No wonder that HUP and the Sports for Children Foundation found each other. ‘We have used many sports elements from the foundation in our furnishings,’ says Mark Oidtmann, director of the sports hotel. ‘How can we use used sports materials to make nice new furniture for HUP? That’s how we ended up with Stefan Groothuis from Sports for Children in Helmond.’

Creating together for a lifetime

Mark continues: ‘Soon we struck a deal: we have 6 springboards converted into chests of drawers for our meeting rooms and you get one in return. We have ordered bags and cushions, and the cutlery for the breakfast buffet is arranged in basket baskets. That looks really nice.

Our relationship consists of helping each other, without a contract. Just in trust. Being partners. We give something, they give something. That’s how we both work and that’s how the best things happen. In this way, we have been able to contribute to transports. What Sports for Children does is something we also believe in. This is a relationship that will never end.’

Hup! Meet, greet, eat & play. Business as usual.
